Look at that nice artistic spread. Yeah. I did that ;)
Sushi for New Year's Eve!
I had the opportunity to pick up some work shifts on New Year's Eve, but last year, I was super excited to be back home for New Year's (we had gone on vacation and came back at 10 PM New Year's Eve). I had my first ever kiss on New Year's Eve with my special someone. It was exciting and new.
This year, New Year's Eve falls on a Tuesday night, so although, yeah, you can go out, we didn't really want to (we're already terribly domesticated). So I told him that we should still do something, and I thought, either we can go get awesome sushi at our favourite restaurant nearby, OR we can make our own! The picture above is from some sushi that we had made before. It's this delicious Baked Spicy Salmon Roll. This is one of my favourite recipes to make, and we always end up eating the ingredients while we're making them together.
Excuse the filter on this one - it was originally posted on facebook :)
These are Cream Cheese California rolls, and regular California rolls mixed throughout.
I have to go to the store tomorrow and buy everything and get it all set up so that when the boy comes home from work, we can start making sushi! :)
I'll post a little later of some of the gifts I got from Christmas! One includes the NARS Guy Bourdin Cheek Palette set that I already LOVE. Some swatches and looks with it too, hopefully. It's such a difference and all of a sudden, I can do contouring and blush much better! My other sister also gave me a set of MAC brushes! So everything is looking amazing.
