FOTD: Before and After

So sometimes, during that time of the month, my skin likes to get sad and gross and break out all over the place. I've been improving my skincare regime, and these blemishes and spots are all gone 2 days after these pictures, but this is how I got rid of some pretty gross acne spots!

So. It's sad, because normally I only have 1 or 2 stray pimples and that's it, so to have broken out to this degree made me sad (if you can't tell from my dismal expressions in the above pictures). Luckily, I had just gotten colour matched to the Laura Mercier oil free foundation, and the Nordstrom lady gave me a very generous sample.

My boyfriend and I had a date! So obviously that meant I had to deck myself up to the nines. I pulled out one of my favourite winter dresses, some black leggings, and my awesome tall brown boots and decided to come up with some sort of makeup to cover up my Christmas red acne flairs.

!! What do you think? Unfortunately, after I took the series of pictures, I realised that I hadn't put enough concealer on my middle blemish, so I put a dab on after and it disappeared :)

Unfortunately, although makeup let my blemishes become the same colour as the rest of my skin, I do not know how to level them out with the rest unless I picked them. And I don't want to damage my skin even more by picking at them.

This side looks much better.

Close-Up of the eye makeup.

I think I've said it before, but I'll say it again: I love the Laura Mercier caviar sticks! I now have Amethyst and Rosegold (I somehow picked up the last one in the store!), and Cocoa is supposed to arrive tomorrow, along with Hourglass' Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light.

I used Rosegold on the inner corner, blended into Amethyst in the middle, and then took out my handy-dandy LM Artist's Palette. I used Truffle on the corners and smoked them out using Fresco and Vanilla Nuts.

The lipstick was simple, but looks more interesting with the ombre. I took Kat Von D's Vampira and blended it into her Lolita.

What I Used:
Stila Convertible Colour - Peony (Stila 500 BI Point)
Benefit Watt's Up (deluxe sample)
Kat Von D Spellbinding Lipstick Set (LE) - Vampira
LM Artist's Palette For Eyes (LE) - Truffle, Fresco, and Vanilla Nuts

Thanks for looking!
