In the move, I got to get my boyfriend's old computer desk. And boy, was I happy! My own vanity!! I had been using the normal bathroom mirror before so this was a definite step up :)
This is just a simple wooden bowl that I use for my Kat Von D Spellbinding Lipstick set, my Tarte concealer, and other little lippies. I got it from World Market -- it's actually a salad bowl!
My boyfriend also surprised my with buying me a mirror for my vanity! He had heard me talking about it before, and decided to get it for me :) It's a really pretty oiled bronze, and it flips from a normal magnification to 7 times that. When I looked at the 7x magnification for the first time, I had to exclaim "Oh my god, I need to pluck my eyebrows!" (It's so much easier! They look amazing now.)
The cups are from Ikea. They're actually candle holders. They're so pretty and they're the perfect height. At $1.99 each, I feel like they were a steal. The brushes are all simple cheap brushes. Eco tools, ELF, a Ben Nye one I picked up on a whim at a theatre costume shop, the Japonesque foundation brush I got from wantable, and I also have my Kat Von D Tattoo liner in one cup. The other contains Maybelline mascaras, Covergirl Clump Crusher, Skin Food (Korean) blue coloured mascara, and Etude House lip stain.
To the right of the cups, I bought another little candleholder. This I use for my gel eyeliner pot (Tonymoly - Korean), two of my favourite Kat Von D Spellbinding lipsticks -- Thin Lizzy and Vampira -- a couple eyeshadow primers, and my Smashbox primer.
This cute little octagonal box was made by my Korean (host) grandmother. She is very good at Korean traditional papermaking, and did this completely from scratch. I love it to pieces, and I keep all of my samples in it. I have samples from Skin Food, Tonymoly, Etude House, Nature Republic, pretty much any of the Korean skin shops. Plus! I also have lots of samples from Sephora now that I'm back in the States.
I should really start using those up.
Finally, underneath the desk where the keyboard would normally reside... lies my palettes. I have Urban Decay's Naked and Vice 2. I also have the Lorac Pro palette, and the lovely Laura Mercier Artist's Palette for Eyes. I may eventually buy more, but at the moment, these are all perfect, and I really need to play with Vice 2 a lot more!
As always, thank you for looking! If you have any looks or want me to swatch any of the palettes or anything you saw, just let me know!
